September

Once upon a September,
A lady received a letter
The sender of which was her lover.
Tear dropped as she read it
No words of torment can be fit
For hope was lost in every bit
Days passed like centuries
Bleeding were her injuries
He alone could cause these miseries
She was engulfed by coldness
But warmth was felt with boldness
That brought an end to this wildness
Fire that kindled her was yours
That brought her back the colours
Which cannot be unlit by any downpours
She then again begun to love
That was approved from up above
Blessed, for she too was being loved
Everyday became beautiful and true
Memories were carefully carved and drew
As she begun to live life anew
But she made a mistake
That brought both hearts such ache
parting was a must for each other's sake
She lost her essence
To a useless expense
A cry of mercy was her offense
Despite the treachery
Love gave her bravery
a plea, release her of her misery
"You are unnerving
Love I gave, you are underserving
Love it is that keeps me from leaving"
She loves you dearly
And you do too clearly
Friends you are now, merely
please?
